Baseball Game Preview: Sidney Yellowjackets vs. Greenville Green Wave

The Sidney Yellowjackets will square off against the Greenville Green Wave at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sidney has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Monday, Sidney came up short against Fairborn and fell 12-8.

Ashton Rose made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kade Swiger, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Greenville fell victim to Troy and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 13-0 to the Trojans. The Green Wave haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Sidney's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Greenville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.
