Soccer Recap: East Lee County Comes Up Short

East Lee County lost against LaBelle back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Jaguars fell just short of the Cowboys/Cowgirls by a score of 2-1. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but East Lee County couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Eduardo Gomez-Hererra, which was the first he's scored this season.

East Lee County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for LaBelle, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-1-2.

East Lee County didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 5-3 win against North Fort Myers on the 18th. As for LaBelle, they have also already played their next matchup, a 7-0 victory against Clewiston on the 18th.
