A Season-Best Performance from Josiah Allen Leads Wheeler over Cherokee
Wheeler was led to victory by Josiah Allen, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Allen rushed for 256 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 31 receiving yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 68 yards.
Cherokee's probably not too fond of Allen given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Allen saw the Warriors), he rushed for 192 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 58 receiving yards.

James Skelly Dazzles in North Paulding Win
James Skelly continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his third-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least two rushing touchdowns. He rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. He has become a key player for North Paulding: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
North Paulding now has a winning record of 4-3. Skelly and North Paulding will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wheeler at 7:30 p.m. on October 18th.

Tanner Savasir Delivers Electric Effort Vs Wheeler
While Tanner Savasir delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Cherokee. Despite the loss, Savasir was still balling out as he threw for 290 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 57 yards on only six carries.
Cherokee and Walton are set to duel on Friday.
