Basketball Recap: Boca Ciega Comes Up Short

Boca Ciega lost against Countryside back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The game between the Boca Ciega Pirates and the Countryside Cougars didn't end well, with the Boca Ciega Pirates falling 63-48.

When it comes to explaining why Boca Ciega lost, don't look at Jelani Nix Jr. Despite the final result, he posted four points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Atron Eubanks, who earned six points.

Corey Perlin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Countryside, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 15 rebounds. The matchup was Perlin's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Carter Padags, who had 16 points and seven boards.

Boca Ciega's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Countryside, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

Boca Ciega didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-47 victory against Hollins on the 9th. Countryside has also already played their next game, a 48-40 defeat against Clearwater on the 14th.
