Baseball Recap: Malone Takes a Loss

Malone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wewahitchka Gators. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 12-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Malone's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Wewahitchka, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Malone will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ashford at 6:00 p.m. on March 24th. Wewahitchka will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Gadsden County at 6:00 p.m. on March 27th.
