Football Recap: Ohatchee Comes Up Short

Ohatchee extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-7. They had to suffer through a 70-16 loss at the hands of the Glencoe Yellowjackets. Despite 56 more yards than the Yellowjackets, the Indians couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

As for Glencoe, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Glencoe's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaiah Young, who picked up 87 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Young was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 62 yards. Jayman Mintz was in the mix too, providing Glencoe with three touchdowns.

Coming up, Ohatchee will square off against Saks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Glencoe, they will welcome Locust Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44.88 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
