Basketball Recap: Seymour's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

If Pigeon Forge wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Seymour, they should've done a better job of containing Hayes Golden. The Seymour Eagles walked away with a 60-49 win over the Pigeon Forge Tigers on Friday thanks in part to Golden, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in November of 2023.

Seymour's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5. As for Pigeon Forge, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Seymour Eagles challenge the Fulton Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Fulton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Pigeon Forge and Cosby will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pigeon Forge is facing Cosby at the right time seeing as Cosby is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
