Basketball Recap: Hooper Academy Skates Past Macon-East Montgomery Academy with Ease

Hooper Academy lost to Macon-East Montgomery Academy back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Hooper Academy Colts blew past the Macon-East Montgomery Academy Knights 54-23. The Colts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 21 points or more this season.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addie Longcrier, who posted ten points and three steals.

Hooper Academy pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 21.8 points. As for Macon-East Montgomery Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hooper Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Evangel Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Macon-East Montgomery Academy, they will host Springwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
