Basketball Game Preview: William Penn Colonials vs. Odyssey Charter Owls

The William Penn Colonials will venture away from home to face off against the Odyssey Charter Owls at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, William Penn took a blow against DuPont, falling 69-41. The Colonials haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, Odyssey Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-40 heartbreaker at the hands of Wilmington Charter.

William Penn's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Odyssey Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Everything came up roses for William Penn against Odyssey Charter in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 60-20 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for William Penn since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
