Softball Recap: Todd County Central Comes Up Short

Todd County Central lost against Franklin-Simpson back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Rebels came up short against the Wildcats, falling 19-1. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Todd County Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Hall, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Avery Kirkman also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Todd County Central's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Franklin-Simpson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-9-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Todd County Central will head out to take on Glasgow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Franklin-Simpson, they will venture away from home to square off against Daviess County at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
