Volleyball Game Preview: Walkertown Wolfpack vs. Lincolnton Wolves + Official Tickets

The Walkertown Wolfpack will face off against the Lincolnton Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Walkertown is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Bartlett Yancey just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Buccaneers.

Walkertown was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 27-25, 25-13.

Meanwhile, in Monday's Canine Competition, Lincolnton didn't have enough. They came up short against Burns on Monday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-18, 25-16.

Walkertown will have to contain Akira Connor as she made an impact in Lincolnton's last game. She had 36 digs. Connor is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 14 games she's played.

Lincolnton's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Walkertown, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-7.
