Soccer Game Preview: Ridge View vs. Sumter + How To Watch

The Ridge View Blazers will venture away from home to square off against the Sumter Gamecocks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Ridge View is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight matches on Tuesday. They came up short against West Florence, falling 4-1. Ridge View were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Elishammah Nupuku, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Sumter fell victim to Blythewood and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 7-0 to the Bengals. While losing is never fun, Sumter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 111th, while Blythewood are ranked ninth).

Ridge View's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Sumter, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
