Basketball Recap: Yreka Triumphs

The third road game was the charm for Yreka, as they earned their first road win of the season. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Central Valley Falcons on Tuesday, sneaking past 42-39. The Miners have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

The victory snapped Yreka's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-9 record. As for Central Valley, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Yreka and Central Valley could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Yreka (ranked 887th) will meet Las Plumas (ranked 269th) at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Central Valley (ranked 1268th) will meet Orland (ranked 603rd) at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
