Basketball Recap: Lawson Takes a Loss

Lawson lost against Penney back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cardinals came up short against the Hornets, falling 50-27.

When it comes to explaining why Lawson lost, don't look at Chase Mathes. Despite the final result, he posted seven points and three steals. Ethan Behounek also deserves some recognition as he scored his first point of the season.

Lawson's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Penney, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coincidentally, Lawson and Penney will both be playing Wellington-Napoleon the next time they take the court. The Cardinals will host the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Hornets will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
