Basketball Recap: Carver Takes a Loss

Carver managed to slip by Therrell the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Carver was beaten by Therrell 66-39 on Friday. The contest marked Carver's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Carver's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Therrell, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Carver won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Douglas County at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Therrell, they will challenge KIPP Atlanta Collegiate at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' defense better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 62.8 points per game this season.
