The Ponderosa Mustangs had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on Sand Creek with a sharp 48-22 victory on Wednesday. That's another feather in the cap for Ponderosa, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Maddison Neale , who scored 23 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Cate Schoultz, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds and 7 steals.
Ponderosa's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Sand Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
