Soccer Game Preview: Mitchell vs. Draughn

Mitchell is 0-7 against Draughn since March of 2022 but things could change on Thursday. The Mountaineers will face off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Mitchell is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Wednesday. They came up short against Owen, falling 9-0. That's two games in a row now that Mitchell have lost by exactly nine goals.

Meanwhile, Draughn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 5-0 to Madison.

Draughn's loss dropped their record down to 1-11-1. As for Mitchell, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Mitchell suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Draughn when the teams last played back in March. Can the Mountaineers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
