Basketball Recap: North Broward Prep Comes Up Short

North Broward Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Palm Beach Lakes Rams.

Despite the loss, North Broward Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ysamar Pimentel went 9 for 15 on her way to 21 points and three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pimentel has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kaydie Sturm, who posted nine points.

North Broward Prep now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Palm Beach Lakes, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

North Broward Prep will square off against Monsignor Pace at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palm Beach Lakes has already played their next matchup (against Palm Beach Gardens), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
