Basketball Recap: Bacon County Takes a Loss

Bacon County lost against Tattnall County back in December of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bacon County Raiders fell 62-52 to the Tattnall County Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 364th, while the Warriors are ranked 123rd).

Despite the loss, Bacon County still got an impressive performance from Xavier Harris, who went 10 for 19 on his way to 23 points and three steals. Santiago Bizzell was another key player, putting up 15 points and five rebounds.

Bacon County's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Tattnall County, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Bacon County will challenge Brantley County at 6:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Tattnall County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-47 victory against Coffee on the 28th.
