Basketball Recap: Azle Comes Up Short

Azle made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Brewer, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hornets fell just short of the Bears by a score of 33-30 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost eight in a row.

Azle's record now sits at 6-16. As for Brewer, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 6-17.

Coincidentally, Azle and Brewer will both be playing Aledo the next time they take the court. The Hornets will host the Bearcats at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Bears will host them at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
