Volleyball Recap: Crowell Wildcats vs. Olney Cubs
Crowell won the last time they faced Olney, and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Crowell Wildcats put the hurt on the Olney Cubs with a sharp 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Crowell took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-15, 25-12.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crowell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sage Bearden, who had a kill and 25 assists. Bearden has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more assists the last 18 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyla Templeton, who had 12 kills and two blocks.
Crowell is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. As for Olney, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.
