Baseball Game Preview: Pennridge Rams vs. Perkiomen Valley Vikings

The Pennridge Rams are headed away from home for the first time to square off against the Perkiomen Valley Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Perkiomen Valley took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Pennridge, who comes in off a win.

Pennridge proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by six) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Neshaminy 5-3.

Tommy Ginnetti was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Ginnetti wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Pennridge lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Perkiomen Valley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Central Bucks West on Monday, falling 7-1.

Perkiomen Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Strechay, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.
