Baseball Recap: Sandpoint Gets the Win

Sandpoint's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Post Falls Trojans. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 12-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Parker Reichart and Andrew Lehman did most of the damage at the plate: Reichart scored a run while going 3-for-3, while Lehman scored a run while going 1-for-3. Those three hits gave Reichart a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Soren Caprio, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Sandpoint's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Post Falls, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Trojans beat Sandpoint by a score of 8-7 later that day.
