Whitefield Academy won the last time they faced Butler and things went their way on Monday too. The Whitefield Academy Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Butler Bears 61-58.

Whitefield Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noel Smith, who went 10-for-16 on her way to 26 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least a third of Whitefield Academy's points. Riley Ring was another key player, as she made all 7 shots she took racking up 20 points.
