Volleyball Recap: Brennan Comes Up Short

Brennan was the 2-0 winner over Birdville when they last played one another back in August of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Bears fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

Kayla Rodriguez paced Brennan's offense, picking up ten kills. Rodriguez got some help from Aviana Contreras and her 16 assists.

Brennan's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Birdville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Brennan and Birdville will both be playing Wylie the next time they take the court. The Bears will head out to face the Bulldogs at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Hawks will head out to face them at 8:00 a.m. on Friday.
