Derek Joyner Turns in Season-Best Effort
Hertford County was led to victory by Derek Joyner, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Joyner rushed for 159 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 38 yards and a touchdown. His longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Hertford County moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak. They and Camden County will meet on Friday for a tough Bear Battle.

Northeastern picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Trevaris Jones. Jones was dynamite, throwing for 389 yards and four touchdowns while completing 82.6% of his passes.
Northeastern's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Jones and Northeastern will face off against Manteo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

White Made His Presence Known in Holmes' 40-28 Loss
While Naijhir White delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Holmes. Nobody could stop White as he rushed for 169 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 63 yards.
Holmes now has a losing record at 3-4. White and Holmes will welcome First Flight at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Rimiez Williams Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Hertford County got the W thanks in part to Rimiez Williams playing the best football he has all season. Williams picked up 113 receiving yards and a touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 57 yards.
