Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cape Elizabeth). They put the hurt on the York Wildcats with a sharp 19-6 win on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Capers considering their one-run performance the match before.

Cape Elizabeth now has a winning record of 3-2. As for York, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Cape Elizabeth is set to face off against their familiar foe Lake Region at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Capers 3.2, the Lakers 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, York will square off against rival Yarmouth at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
