Gosnell will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Ashdown, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Gosnell had just enough and edged out Ashdown 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since May 2, 2024.

Meanwhile, Searcy suffered their closest defeat since March 29, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Warren by a score of 4-2.

Gosnell pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Searcy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
