Baseball Recap: Texico Victorious

Texico had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Olton Mustangs by a score of 13-10.

Chris Elam was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Micky New, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Texico was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Olton only posted a batting average of .188.

Looking ahead, Texico will head out to take on Muleshoe at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Olton, they will take on Sundown at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
