Soccer Game Preview: Chaffey vs. Diamond Ranch

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Chaffey face off against the Diamond Ranch at 5:00 p.m. on Friday... Chaffey's last seven games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Wednesday, it was close, but Chaffey sidestepped Chino for a 3-2 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Tigers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 697th, while the Cowboys are ranked 282nd).

Meanwhile, Diamond Ranch kept a clean sheet against Ontario on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Jaguars. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Diamond Ranch now has a winning record of 8-7-4. As for Chaffey, their victory bumped their record up to 3-13-4.

Chaffey came out on top in a nail-biter against Diamond Ranch in their previous meeting two weeks ago, sneaking past 2-1. Will Chaffey repeat their success, or does Diamond Ranch have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
