Volleyball Recap: Arushi Solgama and Victoria Park Secure Win for MMI Preparatory School

With a playoff win on the line, MMI Preparatory School rose to the challenge on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Susquehanna Sabers. For MMI Preparatory School, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win Susquehanna walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2021.

MMI Preparatory School was led to victory by Victoria Park and Arushi Solgama. Park had seven digs and three aces, while Solgama had ten digs and two aces. Those ten digs gave Solgama a new career-high. Erica Schwear also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: MMI Preparatory School was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They are 7-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

The victory made it two in a row for MMI Preparatory School and bumps their season record up to 8-14. As for Susquehanna, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.

Coming up, MMI Preparatory School will take on Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Susquehanna does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
