Recap: Richland County Tigers vs. Gillespie Miners
On Saturday, things could have been worse for Richland County, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-37 loss to Gillespie.
Richland County's loss came despite strong showings from Leah Gibson and Danielle Reagan Brown. Gibson scored 17 points along with 5 steals, while Reagan Brown scored 3 points along with 12 rebounds and 5 blocks. Reagan Brown is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
Richland County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Gillespie, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season.
Richland County will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Robinson at 6:00 p.m. Robinson is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games. Gillespie's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mt. Olive at 6:00 p.m. on November 27th.
