Football Recap: Mission College Prep Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mission College Prep was the 58-0 winner over Kern Valley when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Royals took a hard 21-7 fall against the Broncs on Friday. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jack Marsalek threw for 74 yards on eight of 17 attempts. Jesse Bettencourt was his top target, picking up 49 receiving yards. On the ground, Ronnie Kardashian rushed for 186 yards and one score while picking up 7.8 yards per carry.

Kern Valley was led to victory by Carson Parks and Jackson Price. Parks rushed for 208 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, while Price rushed for 103 yards and a pair of TDs. Price's longest rush was for an incredible 99 yards.

Mission College Prep now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Kern Valley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mission College Prep will face off against Santa Ynez at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kern Valley, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mira Monte at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th.
