Softball Recap: Ann Sobrato Gets the Win

Ann Sobrato won the last time they faced Westmont and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs walked away with a 5-1 win over the Warriors.

Amber Rodriguez and Sam Zimmerman were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Rodriguez tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Zimmerman didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Rodriguez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. At the plate, Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with one run and one double, while Zimmerman went 2-for-3 with one home run. Zimmerman also scored a run, marking her first of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Julia Carlsen, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
