Softball Recap: Waverly Central Takes a Loss

Waverly Central managed to slip by Creek Wood the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Waverly Central Tigers lost 9-0 to the Creek Wood Red Hawks on Tuesday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Waverly Central and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Creek Wood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Waverly Central Tigers challenge Camden Central Lions at 5:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for Creek Wood, they will face off against Dickson County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
