Volleyball Recap: Mater Dei Catholic Comes Up Short

Mater Dei Catholic lost against Otay Ranch back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Crusaders fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-1. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Mater Dei Catholic started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-18, 17-15.

Mater Dei Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Otay Ranch, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-8.

Mater Dei Catholic has already played their next match (against Ramona), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Otay Ranch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against University City on the 20th.
