Baseball Recap: North Buncombe Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

North Buncombe's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Madison Patriots by a score of 9-6. With that victory, the Black Hawks brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Coelton Collins was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Kameron Keenan was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. North Buncombe is 3-1 when Keenan posts two or more runs, but 5-12 otherwise. TJ Laub was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI.

With the win, North Buncombe broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-13. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.

Coming up, North Buncombe will head out on the road to challenge Enka at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
