Basketball Game Preview: Nemaha Central Thunder vs. Sabetha Bluejays

The Nemaha Central Thunder will challenge the Sabetha Bluejays at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Nemaha Central will be strutting in after a win while Sabetha will be coming in after a defeat.

Sabetha will be up against a hot Nemaha Central team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Nemaha Central came out on top against Concordia by a score of 56-47 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Sabetha didn't have quite enough to beat Holton on Friday and fell 50-48. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bluejays came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Wildcats are ranked 210th).

Sabetha's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Nemaha Central, their victory bumped their record up to 17-2.

Nemaha Central was able to grind out a solid win over Sabetha when the teams last played back in January, winning 42-33. Does Nemaha Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sabetha turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
