Softball Game Recap: Dawson Bulldogs vs. Axtell Longhorns

Dawson lost against Axtell back in March of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs wound up with the same score they had in their last game (6-5), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Tattum Hill made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and one double. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Boatright, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Dawson's loss was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Axtell, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4-1 record this season.

While Dawson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
