Baseball Recap: Turner Takes a Loss

Turner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the De Soto Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-1 on Tuesday.

Turner's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for De Soto, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-16.

Coming up, Turner will look to defend their home field on Monday against Harmon at 4:00 p.m. The Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.88 runs per game on average), something the Golden Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of. De Soto has already played their next contest (against Leavenworth), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
