Basketball Game Preview: Coshocton Redskins vs. Tri-Valley Scotties

Coshocton is 0-4 against Tri-Valley since January of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Coshocton Redskins will face off against the Tri-Valley Scotties at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Coshocton comes in on three and Tri-Valley on ten.

Last Wednesday, everything went Coshocton's way against Claymont as Coshocton made off with a 72-47 win. The Redskins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Coshocton can attribute much of their success to Colton Conkle, who went 9-for-15 en route to 25 points along with eight boards and six steals, and Alex Taylor, who went 8-for-10 to rack up 23 points and five rebounds. Conkle has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Blayden Workman was another key player, putting up four points and five boards.

Maysville typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Tri-Valley proved too difficult a challenge. They slipped by the Panthers 65-64.

Tri-Valley's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points over those games. As for Coshocton, their win bumped their record up to 18-3.

Coshocton came up short against Tri-Valley in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 65-54. Can Coshocton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
