Basketball Recap: Makenna Taylor's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Jeffersonville over Jennings County

Jeffersonville was the 66-55 winner over Jennings County when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Devils took a 69-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Tuesday.

Jeffersonville's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makenna Taylor, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alicia Mangrum, who shot 42% from the field en route to 16 points.

Jeffersonville now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Jennings County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Jeffersonville will head out to take on Cathedral at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Jennings County, they will be playing at home against East Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
