Softball Game Preview: Copperas Cove Bulldawgs vs. Midway Panthers

Copperas Cove has won five straight games at home, while Midway has won five straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Bulldawgs will host the Panthers at 6:55 p.m. Copperas Cove is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.

Copperas Cove is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Temple just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Copperas Cove saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Hunt, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Midway's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They never let Bryan get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. Considering the Panthers have won 16 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Midway's win bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Copperas Cove, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.
