Football Recap: Gordonsville Takes a Loss

Gordonsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 25-20 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bledsoe County Warriors.

Lilianne Sherrell had another great game (as she tends to do), rushing for 199 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 89 yards and one TD for Bledsoe County. Those 199 rushing yards gave Sherrell a new career-high.

Gordonsville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Bledsoe County, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Looking ahead, Gordonsville will square off against Van Buren County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bledsoe County, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 33-6 loss against White County on the 8th.
