Basketball Game Preview: Ripley Vikings vs. Hurricane Redskins

The Ripley Vikings are taking a road trip to challenge the Hurricane Redskins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Ripley is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Sissonville on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Ripley lost 48-24 to Sissonville. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Vikings have suffered against the Indians since January 29, 2019.

Meanwhile, Hurricane put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past South Charleston with points to spare, taking the game 49-32.

Ripley's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Hurricane, their win bumped their record up to 12-0.

Ripley lost to Hurricane on the road by a decisive 57-43 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2020. Can Ripley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
