Marion-Franklin comes up short despite Terry Black's dominant performance

Recap: Marion-Franklin Red Devils vs. West Cowboys
It was a good run, but the Marion-Franklin Red Devils unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 59-52 to West. Marion-Franklin was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as West apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Marion-Franklin still got an impressive performance from Terry Black, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Black hasn't dropped below 15points for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Neko Tuff, who scored six points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Marion-Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for West, they pushed their record up to 7-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marion-Franklin will take on South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West, they will head out on the road to face off against Eastmoor Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
