Basketball Recap: Clairton Comes Up Short

Clairton lost against Neighborhood Academy back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Clairton Bears took a 62-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Neighborhood Academy. The Bears' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row dating back to last season.

Clairton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Neighborhood Academy, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Clairton will welcome Springdale at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Springdale will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Clairton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Neighborhood Academy, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Taylor Allderdice at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neighborhood Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Taylor Allderdice likes a good challenge.
