Baseball Game Preview: Linden Tigers vs. Perth Amboy Vo-Tech Patriots

The Linden Tigers will face off against the Perth Amboy Vo-Tech Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Linden will be strutting in after a victory while Perth Amboy Vo-Tech will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Linden turned things around against Hillside on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Comets by a score of 13-8. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Eliel Olivo was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Jacob Gonzalez was another key player, earning two runs and two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Perth Amboy Vo-Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against New Brunswick, falling 19-2.

Perth Amboy Vo-Tech's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Linden, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-11.
