If Chambers Academy was riding high fresh off their 47-0 takedown of Fort Dale Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rebels took a 38-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maclay Marauders on Friday. The Rebels' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Beau Beshears had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 276 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also punching in two scores on the ground for Maclay. The dominant performance also gave Beshears a new career-high in passer rating (145.4). Henry Richardson also helped out as he racked up 127 receiving yards.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 6-2. As for Maclay, their record now sits at 6-1.

Coming up, Chambers Academy will look to defend their home field on Friday against Morgan Academy at 7:00 p.m. As for Maclay, they will venture away from home to face off against North Florida Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
