Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos vs. McCutcheon Mavericks
Lafayette Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the McCutcheon Mavericks, falling 3-0. The Bronchos were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mavericks from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-14.
Maya Layton paced Lafayette Jefferson's offense, picking up six kills. Layton were helped by Jaeleah Thorpe and Andi Mooney, who contributed four assists each. Mooney was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
